NNREC have just completed a new landmark project, in partnership with equality organisations across the Region and funded by CapacityBuilders.
This project aimed to ‘improve the reach’ of infrastructure bodies to help BME Voluntary and Community Organisations (VCOs) to work more effectively and to increase access to capacity building and support.
One of the two main aims of this project is torecognise, value and acknowledge the contribution BME individuals make to the VCS.
Our partners across the Region have hand-picked a number of key individuals in their area who have made an invaluable contribution to community cohesion in their County, click here to read their profiles and find out more about our 'BME Community Champions'...

A Common Vision & Sense of Belonging for Everyone
“There is a need to educate, facilitate, enable, inform, involve and engage different cultural deprived backgrounds to reduce ignorance, fear, bigotry, resentment and false information. All public bodies, local employers, voluntary organisations, community groups and individuals have a part to play in achieving the community cohesion goal of bringing people together.”
