Over the last twelve years Linda has provided management, consultancy, training and support to a variety of organisations, both voluntary and statutory, focused primarily on developing mechanisms by which they can review their practices, keep up to date with law, access resources, build their capacity and create effective partnerships with other agencies. Much of the work undertaken has been with marginalised communities, umbrella organisations and voluntary sector service providers, across all the care groups. Linda has been responsible for developing strategies and policies for both mainstream and Black voluntary sector organisations.

Brief profile of the person, association or organisation registering for possible contracts: Ganga Westwood qualified with an MSc in Social Work and Social Policy, from the London School of Economics in 1983. She has nearly 20 years experience in social care and health management, including child protection, mental health and substance misuse. She has published good practice guidance and has knowledge of quality and audit systems in the substance misuse field. She has 14 years experience in higher education with several universities, including work on their graduate and undergraduate Diploma in Social Work programmes. Currently examining for Queens University, Belfast, she has a particular interest in the overlapping issues of sectarianism and racism. She has delivered community race relations and diversity training to police managers, police officers and support staff. She has produced teaching and training materials for modules on anti-discriminatory practice delivered to pre-qualifying social work and nursing students. Between 2002-2004 she was Chair of the Norfolk & Norwich Race Equality Council. She is also a member of an independent foster panel recruiting specifically from the BME community.
